ENDING

One thing we know for sure, everyone is going to die Some are taken too soon, and nobody knows why! If you skip the line normally, people get the hump, But this is a queue that I don't want to jump When you know your dying, one good thing you can do, Is tell people that you love them, and prepare them too. I've written lots of letters, for loved ones when I'm gone That was hard to do, but I hope it keeps them strong. Funeral plans are in order, and was harder still, Choosing music and my coffin, making updates to my will. At least no one needs to worry, and think about what to do, I take comfort knowing, that nobody has too. I don't want to die young, the thought fills me with dread, I try not to think about it, and let it fill my head. I have lived a good life, and can't really complain, I'm luckier than some, despite dreams going down the drain! I've found solace lately, on TV watching news, All the death and destruction, should not really amuse! But when I am watching, I don't feel quite as bad, Things happening elsewhere, are really way more sad. So let's talk about God, and the heaven up above! He's meant to be a good guy, and fill our lives with love? I'm really don't want to hear, he has another plan! I would like to decline the offer, I'm happy as I am! I do however want to, think there is somewhere I will go, But the sad truth is, no one really knows. I want to come back and visit, from the other side, I promise to be a friendly ghost, so you don't need to hide. One thing I want to tell you, which I hope will reassure, When MND takes me, I can't fight anymore, For every piece it has taken, I am less and less like me! So I think I will be ready, and what will be will be.
